Music has been a part of my life since I was very young, plunking around on the old yellow piano at home as soon as I could reach the keys. I began taking classical piano lessons at the age of 10 and dedicated the next decade to classical education and performance. 

Participating in piano competitions throughout my early music career built a strong foundation of technical skill and understanding of music theory. In my early 20’s I decided to make the jump from  classical training to studying under a commercial music producer where I learned more improvisational techniques, chord structures and music composition. From there I began playing and singing with bands, writing my own music and teaching myself guitar and ukulele. 

In 2011 I opened Reverb Music Studio in Colorado Springs, Colorado and had the honor of teaching 30+ piano, guitar, ukulele and voice students. My students spanned ages 3 to 43 and studied a wide range of genres from classical to modern to jazz.

Reverb took a hiatus after I moved to Seattle and began pursuing other artistic endeavours, yet my love of teaching and immersion in music has never taken pause. As of 2026 Reverb is back in action and taking on new students! 

While my teaching methodology is based in traditional note-reading to build a strong foundation in music theory, I believe each student comes to me with a differing set of skills, needs and ways they learn best. As your teacher it is my responsibility (and joy!) to learn about you and where you want to go in the world of music.
